TIPPING FEES

Tipping Fees will be charged for all BRUSH, BUILDING MATERIALS (including drywall), CONCRETE, FURNITURE, CARPETS, MATTRESSES, ETC. as follows:

Fees amended effective October 3, 2009:

CAR CHARGE Minimum charge $10.00
PICK UP TRUCK Minimum charge $30.00
LIGHT UTILITY TRAILER Minimum charge $30.00
LARGER VEHICLES Minimum charge $50.00
ELECTRONIC WASTE
i.e. computers, TVs Minimum charge $10.00

SHINGLES AND ASPHALT are accepted at the Strathroy Transfer Station only.

Materials are not buried at this site, and must be transported to a commercially approved landfill site or recycling center with applicable tipping fees.

Cardboard is not acceptable as it is recyclable; therefore, a surcharge of $5.00 will be added if cardboard is dumped with other materials.

NO CHARGE FOR SCRAP MATERIAL, TIRES, LEAVES, GRASS CLIPPINGS, AND GARDEN WASTE.

Mulch and compost are available at both the Strathroy & Mount Brydges Transfer Stations. See the attendant for pricing, bring your own containers & shovel.

FREEZERS, REFRIGERATORS, A/C UNITS - A Tipping Fee of $15.00 per unit will be charged for freezers, refrigerators, air conditioners - for removal of freon to meet Ministry of the Environment regulations.

RECEIPTS MUST BE OBTAINED FROM THE TIPPING FEE COLLECTOR FOR ALL FEES PAID.

ITEMS TOO LARGE FOR CURBSIDE PICK UP MAY GO TO THE STRATHROY-CARADOC TRANSFER STATIONS.

ABSOLUTELY NO HOUSEHOLD GARBAGE ACCEPTED

HAZARDOUS MATERIALS are not accepted at the Transfer Stations but can be disposed of at the following location:

Residents of Strathroy-Caradoc can use the depot
every Saturday (excluding holidays) from 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.

Types of Hazardous materials that can be taken to the above depot are:
paints, oils, thinners, thermometers, cleaning fluid, pesticides, drain cleaners, small batteries, poisons and medications.
