Build Green Award, Presented by TRY Recycling Inc. and the LHBACo-sponsored by the London Home Builders’ Association and TRY Recycling Inc., the Building Green Awards are the first of their kind in Canada and recognize the audited accountability and outstanding efforts by individual companies. The Awards capture not only the industry wide initiatives and efforts of the companies but also the individual programs and activities that are incorporated into daily activities and environmental planning. The purpose of the Building Green Award is to recognize companies in good standing with the London Home Builders Association for their efforts in ensuring environmentally sound projects. Members of the London Home Builders Association who have consistently taken measurable steps to reduce their environmental footprint will be considered for this award. As TRY Recycling Inc. is presenting this award, the primary focus is on waste diversion. As well, TRY Recycling Inc. has always shown a commitment to the community. As a result, the company would like to recognize other members of the LHBA who have been involved in a variety of community environmental initiatives. Great examples would include the London Communities in Bloom program, Reforest London, TREA and the like. This award is granted to members in good standing with the London Home Builders’ Association that strive to incorporate “green” practices into their business’ operations as well as encouraging others in their industry to do the same.
